That 0-0 victory for Scotland will forever be enshrined in sporting history. Along with them winning the 1978 World Cup and the celebratory postage stamps.And where's the option for Billy Gilmour's MoM masterclass in Scotland's 0-0 win over England at Wembley at Euro 2020?
It's a tough one, I remember Super Saturday as something special. But it depends on which sport you follow. The 2005 Ashes is in there, a series where England got lucky at all the key points including McGrath turning his ankle in the warm ups at, I think, Edgbaston. I'd say the 2010/11 victory in Australia was bigger.
The 2019 World Cup was a wonderful occasion.
See, nearly all mine are cricket. Subjective.

Went for the Cricket world cup win. It must have been good as even my wife was getting excited and she doesn't like cricket.

From that list I would probably choose Murray at Wimbledon, with the Rugby WC a close second. But for me, Wiggins in the yellow jersey leading out Cavendish in Paris for a British team is a clear winner.

Nah, we were brought back to earth with a massive bump the next week. Could've been even earlier with Burnley having to do a good 5 minutes of backs-to-the-wall defending at the Madjeski once Reading realised we'd gone 2-1 up - which is probably the only time in my life I've liked Burnley!

I think, bar Edgbaston, it’s because it lacks “the moment”.
Wilkinson scoring the drop goal. Buttler whipping the bails off. The Rose / Kaymer putts. Djokovic putting it in the net. The Mobot.
The 2005 Ashes was incredible but, ultimately, a slow burn all summer and it ended in the drizzle with the umpires declaring a draw, not Flintoff knocking over Warne to seal it. Put the Edgbaston test last and it gets the kudos it deserves IMHO.
