I don't want to see fights and would get a smack myself to protect others (even the little twat with his scarf). It's so pointless to not snitch & let it get to the level that it's all going to kick off. I'd physically step in between anything that was going to go near my Jnr though, a barrier rather than being a fighter. Gives me time to shout at everyone to chill the f**k out, whilst directing Jnr to go to somewhere where he isn't going to be landed on.
I don't want things to revert to the 'old days' of 'expecting' trouble.
I'd like bottle tops back to reflect that we've all grown up & there's a new generation coming through though. They're currently around 10 yrs old & they accidentally knock over their coke bottles & cover my coat in it.

Meanwhile there has been no press coverage or statement from the club in respect of the court case reference the assault at the Marseille game.

He said: “He regrets his actions and is deeply embarassed.”

He was given a three-year ban on the same terms as the other defendants, and ordered to pay £226 in costs.

My son was headbutted (resulting in a trip to A&E) in front of numerous people all of whom knew the headbutter and were prepared to act as witnesses. Despite all that the police or CPS (I can't recall how it works) decided to not press charges. That was in Herne Bay. It was 20 years ago, but has anything changed?
