Each of the European away days have been followed by intense lethargy at the very least and mostly with colds (or potentially worse).

I guess this is what happens when you travel with thousands of other people in constant close proximity, with lots of drinking and singing.

Yep, still full of lurgy / sore throat!

Have to be honest I nearly didn't make it to Rome, felt dreadful in the lead up to it for a couple of weeks. Taken until now to recover. I may be a super spreader.

This cough , phlegm , sore throat thing was doing the rounds in London about a month ago. Pure evil. I hadn't coughed before it for about 10 years. But when I had it last month it lasted around 3 weeks.
That's absolutely what I have/had - When I returned from Rome I finally decided to hit the cough medicine majorly and it has mostly shifted it. Still feel it though.

I had the same in early Jan. It was the worst cold I've ever had (cough, nausea, runny nose, temperature, headaches). Bloody awful.
