[Football] Why are English football grounds so boring (compared to Europe)??

From what I’ve seen on tv (admittedly) European football grounds seem to be male only, synchronized singing (led by conductors) cavernous bowls miles from the pitch. Behind the goal in Rome looked like a big Withdean. Give me English grounds any day but the best ones are not in the PL. The real gems and real support is much lower down the pyramid.

I reckon after three games were I left the ground covered in other people’s thrown beer having seen none of the game because the people in front of me set off a load of smoke bombs I’d be demanding a return to “dull” pretty quickly.
This. I'd love to go into some European home fan sections in different leagues for the experience.

Once.

Don't get the fretting about English atmospheres. Often it can be a bit flat but it makes the good atmosphere's really special. I'd rather that than a fecking loud constant droning every game.

And as mentioned above it was really, really funny that Marseille let off flares and sung obliviously while we scored against them.

A bit like the English tourists, I have sat quietly reading this thread without commenting, till now. To go European, I guess I should have typed in CAPS and made my comment irrelevant to the conversation, and used emojis.

Football is expensive enough as it is.

Travel expenses
Beer
Food
Match ticket
£100
Flares and fireworks for 90 minutes
£200
😬
