Agreed

I’m assuming some on here will be as equally irritated if (unlikely I know) Chelsea were in a pickle and many of us didn’t give a shit about them either…
I dislike Reading due to past rivalry. I also recall amusement when Coppell enraged their fans whilst managing them, he said Brighton was a far bigger club, much to their ire. But to draw comparison between a mediocre London club which was propelled to success due to sports-washed money with Putin's approval, and then all that followed between our clubs, and Reading, is frankly disingenuous.

The asset stripping continues...

"The Reading owner, Dai Yongge, is “open to the sale” of the club’s Bearwood Park training complex to raise short-term funds for the club.

The club statement read: “Mr Dai is currently evaluating every option at present to secure sufficient funding until new ownership is confirmed. In doing so, he is open to the sale of Bearwood Park, should an appropriate offer be received.

“Whilst dialogue with potential new ownership groups are progressing, as of today no single party has been granted exclusivity. Mr Dai, and representatives, will continue to liaise with interested parties and hope to move forwards at the earliest possible opportunity. Further communication with substantive developments will come as appropriate.”
What utter bullshit.

The club is worth more with the training ground, and he's torpedoed a couple of reasonable bids according to their fans.

More like he's trying to sell it so he can personally profit from it, before walking away with nothing of any value left.

Another Bill Archer.

Wow! This is low from Wycombe. It like us being on our last legs and Portsmouth buying our training ground.

Wycombe have got nothing to be ashamed of, they need a training ground and Reading's is up for sale. Maybe Reading should have thought twice before spunking millions on a training ground that they didn't have the income to support. Yeah, it's shit for the fans but unfortunately football is now a business and it looks like Wycombe have done a good bit of business.

A lot of Wycombe and Reading fans angry about it on Twitter etc saying it's basically removed an asset that would be of interest to any buyer for Reading.

Local press, however, reporting that Reading would have gone bust without it. It's quite possibly the land sale equivalent of Beeney to Leeds.

Either way, Reading are properly f**ked now.

Next thing is to buy the ground then they can rename themselves. Let think what they could call themselves

Anyone remember the concept of the Thames Valley Royals, back in the day?

The brainchild of that fat crook (I think I can legally say that, can't I?) Maxwell.

Good point. Remember where we came from.

So I hope Reading manage to climb out of their hole.

If Chelsea found themselves in a similar hole, f*** 'em.

Too many dick head fans forget our past troubles and enjoying this.

They probably don’t realise we had a team before 2017.

I wish Reading FC well. I never want to see any club go under.

This.

We know what bad ownership is and what it does and we really should be empethatic.

On the other hand, having noddy old Reading asset strip us was one of the low points of my entire Albion supporting career.
Terrible attitude. After what happened or very nearly happened, to Brighton, it seems we’ve learnt nothing. I really dislike what some Brighton fans have turned into.

No Albion fan should take any pleasure in seeing another club asset stripped, no matter who it is.

What an odd take. I was merely agreeing with @Simster ’s post.

Almost like someone was point scoring late at night.
