"How could he run so badly over the winter? asks Alice. The honest answer is

"Because he'd never win off it's Handicap mark after it won last year and we've been running it half fit all winter to drop it like a stone" is the correct answer.

Indeed! And the handicapper played along with it. 6 winners in handicap hurdles at Cheltenham for the Skeltons. Hmm.

Agreed.

The offers have been shit, only a handful of freebies being dished out and I'm gubbed with most of them. And although there were a few extra places being paid yesterday, the odds in those races were shocking. I get that their over round has to be higher for EP races, but they were much worse than we've been used to.

And now the 4:10 has been called off, it just sums up this edition of Cheltenham so far. Gash.
Agree, with exception of PP. With them I'm getting £5 free bet a day on Cheltenham plus make a £10 bet on Tues and Fri instore with playcard (no min odds so I just do under 6.5 goals in a football game) and get a free £10 in the online account (which can be split). My dad has an account he "doesn't use" so I can double up. Plus some free spins and roulette.
MGM Bet offers also ok: 4x £10 free bets on opening, and one daily 100% profit boost bet at Cheltenham and on Thurs darts, as they're a sponsor.
Done v well recently with these 2 companies. Surprised not gubbed yet with PP as had the account and use it often for 5+ years.

Bookies getting battered, not had a bet this year and as typrical would have had 7 winners so far, 4 yesterday, all 3 today

The new course is run on Thursday and Friday with a tricky fence downhill.. the ground is a little different it seems and for me I prefer this as it seems more outsiders come in

Am laying El Fabiolo. We are due a shock.
On the TV before the first race there was a wise old punter who said he was lumping on the first 2 odds on favourites but wouldn't back El Fabiolo as it could make mistakes.

I went with that and did rather well (for me).
