De Zerbi is a terrifically exciting, but inflexible and flawed manager, who amongst a load of fantastic work, makes some questionable tactical calls and personnel selections.
If De Zerbi himself is able to see (and state) that he has got stuff wrong, I don't see why we are not also allowed to question some decisions.

While I agree, that back three absolutely murdered us, and since we've switched back to a back 4, we've won 1/1. He has his flaws.

Is Steele better at build up play?
The assumption that his footwork is better than Bart's is flawed. Bart's passing stats are actually better. Bart's overall passing accuracy is 92.1%, Steele 83.6%.
The repeated use of the back three is a far bigger concern than which keeper plays, tbh. With the available personnel it simply does not work. We have been terrible defensively every time we've played it - even including the 5-2 cup WIN at Sheffield United - when we were ripped apart down our left every time they attacked.

That may be true, but Steele's ability to hold onto the ball until the very last second and make the pass, to beat the press, is exactly what RDZ wants him to do.

Its not digging him out mate, its being honest on ability.
Nobody will disagree with any of the points you make on his character, work ethhic or his overall positive impact on the squad, its purely ability on the football pitch and with the gloves not feet obviously.
And it isnt his fault if RDZ picks him and I dont doubt everybody would also then get behind him, cheer and hope for the best.
But I dont think its unreasonable not to talk about that which many see as obvious, on a Brighton fans forum or to happy clap and not be honest about it.

Yeah, as I said to someone else, stating 'I won't be responsible for my actions' to me is digging someone out.
Agree with the rest, but also once theyve been selected and pull the shirt on, they should get unequivocal backing, not toys out of the pram.
