[Albion] 11 cup finals

Any other season we’d be well up for the run in being 3 points off 7th and 2 off 8th, which may get Europe. There seems to be so much doom and gloom at the minute, lots of season petering out shouts.

I know the last few weeks have been disappointing, but we’re comfortably still in the race so let’s treat it like that show the boys today we still believe.

I want another European tour.

To quote @Wozza, when we were talking about things whilst drinking beer and eating pizza outside a trattoria after the game on Thursday night, it's now a matter of:

"All in or don't bother coming"

We need to bring the most raucous and most vocal versions of ourselves to each game and see where it takes us.

Quite an important game today. If we can win we can bring the feel good factor back. Draw or lose and we have some daunting games in the near future.

Got a feeling the atmosphere is going to be a bit flat today. There's a definite loss of mojo from a lot of Albion fans but the players need our backing for the run in so I hope we manage to lift them up
Come out all guns blazing and kill the game off in the first half, players and fans both need a result today.

Everyone had a good rest today (!!), now let's do this!!!

You got that right.

Terrible atmosphere.
Hoping there will be a different vibe on Thursday.

Forget getting anything next Thursday for the return leg against Roma. The tie has gone but at least we can go down in a blaze of glory. After that we have over two weeks before our next PL fixture. Perfect for recharging batteries, getting our injured players back into the fold, setting a target for the final 10 games. As someone has alluded to, 6 wins or 18 points will take us to 60 points in total. We’ve done it before and we can do it again. That’s it from me - glass three quarters full and the complete optimist. :drink:

I think we should start with a strong side on Thursday and absolutely go for it first 20, and if that happened to miraculously yield a couple of goals then atmosphere up and game on. However, if they scored again (and/or again) then maybe we then revert to just seeing the game out, hopefully accumulate no further injuries and concentrate on our assault for top 7

We are more or less out of the tie on Thursday, but we all know the vibe on Thursday is going to be very different from yesterday. We're all fans, we're all saving ourselves for that one.

And who knows - score early inside 5 mins, then 10 minutes later Ferguson breaks the offside trap, gets hauled down by their centre-half who is thus sent off, before Dunk actually scores one from the resulting free kick - and the Amex is absolutely f**king rocking like NEVER before.

It will probably not happen and if it does we'll still probably lose - but if it does happen I want to be in the ground for it and part of it.

Here’s what will happen:

For 5mins after KO, they’ll be a few Albion Albion chants from the North. Rest (away fans a side) will mostly be sat on their hands not joining in except for moaning at any misplaced passes. I’ll be trying to sing in the East but will get lots of stares from silent families and tourists, and possibly a steward to ask me to be quiet because he’s received a complaint. Then Roma will score on the break and (the already poorly attended) crowd will then go totally quiet. By 75mins regardless of whether we’ve equalised or even lead 6-1, thousands will leave early. By FT, and wanting to applaud a fantastic campaign, they’ll be less than 5000 remaining in their seats to give the players standing ovation because you’ve got to get home and it’s nobody’s business if you leave early.

Apart from being a miserable post, how difficult can it be to spell "there'll"? I mean it's just "THERE WILL" contracted. And you've put "they'll" twice.

Poor. A post that deserves to be ignored.

Absolutely this. Can't believe the amount of shade thrown at the lack of boisterous atmosphere yesterday. I got back from Rome on Saturday afternoon, and had to get an early train to Brighton on Sunday for another game - it's exhausting! I felt the same thing after Marseille and Ajax.

I'll be there on Thursday, refreshed and excited to see a miracle in the flesh. One last ride.

The days/weeks/months of 'talk' wasted on something we're not, and never have been, is quite remarkable.

The chances of 'us' doing anything other than being apathetic, for the rest of the season, are minimal.
What with us being fairly silent throughout the clubs greatest ever season.

It might get flat, it will be packed.

But there is still the outside chance of it being the single biggest night, biggest game and biggest come back we've ever experienced and the Amex roof comes off.
