Yes Andy needs some love too.

One of my best friends who I’ve been to school with and known since I was 10. An absolute hero, who did ultimately save me while I was lying on the floor. Here we are outside stadio olimpico, at the game.

Kinda proves Roma are pussies can’t even be arsed to have a fair fight.
Certainly the vibe I got from them. Happy to lob coins and lighters at us and bang fences and give a coach convoy the finger but their biggest piece of action seems to have been attacking one of the nicest and most harmless people I know from behind.

He rose above it though, which is the correct and an admirable response

Well I don’t know they came from behind (careful now), and stabbed us both blindside. I don’t know what they looked like other than the foot in my face. 3 lacerations in the arse, and 2 in Andy. They knicked his passport but nothing off me. Who knows, but my friends who didn’t get attacked reckon they were Roma fans. There were about 8 of us and We weren’t in colours, we weren’t singing, but we were talking loudly. A few mates did have Stone Island on, which police did seem to suggest may have made us a target, but maybe not. Who knows, glad it wasn’t worse. I’m happy I was stabbed opposed to some other people I was with, one is 61 years old and the other has a disability, so it could have been a lot more serious. Got to take it on the chin and see the humour in it at times, a crazy few days, but all in the name of watching the greatest football club in the world. Everything is covered by Travel insurance by the way for anyone concerned, a lot of thanks has to go to the British Consulate and the football club, especially some people working for the club who came to the hospital and got us entry to the ground safely. In quite a scary situation we got a lot of love, and made us both quite emotional. A crazy few days.

Glad your all ok, definitely deserve to be nominated after all you been through, speedy recovery

Nominate your fan of the season!

To be honest, aside from his ordeal in Rome, Jack is probably deserving of a nomination purely on the basis of all the invaluable matchday train info, tips and hints he posts to fill the vacuum left by Southern and the club.

It was good to see you in good spirits on the flight home after your terrible ordeal.
I’m sure you’ll forever remember the “Jack Albion” chant as you entered the stadium…….and the follow up chant of “there’s nothing wrong with you”!

This man should never need to buy another pint at the Amex. If I see I shall certainly be purchasing him a drink. Hope the club invite him to be a guest in the directors box or something. Sure they’ll do something, Barber is fantastic like that.

Absolute wankers. Glad you’re both OK mate, sounds horrible.

Assume you, Canal Man and Mopman will now be doing some kind of world tour. Or at least after dinner speaking at £50K a pop.
Surely Rocketman can provide support as well.

Really glad you posted this & his name as we've been thinking of him as well. Is he getting back ok without his passport?

Please pass on our love and best wishes to him too Jack, he may not be as well known on NSC but I'm sure the love is there from others on here too.

And anything either of you need, please just ask - this community is brilliant at rallying round to help when someone needs it.

Why do you only know Jack from behind?
Or do you mean he's harmless from behind...

Maybe you're oversharing?
It's been an emotional few days.

Shame he didn't make it onto the FAB too.
Believe he was one of the nominations.

It’s a great service before the day but it can rapidly deteriorate “in the field” after a bottle of cheap wine.
