Proper goalkeeping talent, best young keeper I've ever seen at Brighton, could pull off blinding saves, pluck the ball out of the air, then had a little wobble and was suddenly ostracised.

Apparently not good enough with his feet. Really? I'm watching Steele mess up pass after pass, clearance after clearance tonight, and just thinking - was that decision really worth it?

Got us to sixth last season and Sanchez has already been booted to the bench at chelsea for his poor footwork

I think not playing the Netherlands U21 international goalkeeper, one of the most highly regarded young keepers in Europe, every week instead of a Sunderland till I Die Netflix star might be the problem

He made mistakes in games. So was benched for a few games. Then threw a strop and refused to play. The blame is with Sanchez.

If I was Bloom I would be pissed £20m on the Dutch International keeper and he warms the bench. Our last four wins Bart plays since then we haven’t won a game there is nothing stat wise to play Steele don’t understand it tbh. I just watched him physically jump over a ball it’s insane.

I feel sorry for Steele. He's not good enough to be the regular keeper of a PL side, never mind a side in European competition. RDZ has hung him out to dry.

I'm really not surprised that Sanchez saw his arse after being replaced by him and not regaining it after that Everton game where he conceded 5 from 5.on target.

No, he sat on the bench, then was recalled for Chelsea away and the cup semi, played really well, and was dropped again as soon as Steele was fit.

De Zerbi refused to play him. Don't shift the blame to Sanchez.

Steele took us to Europe with his passing game that helped tear the likes of Manure apart.

The first team was decimated last summer, by October chickens had come home to rest. We’re a way worse team than last season.

Tonight … Dunk and Lamptey have had defensive shockers, along with RDZ’s blinkered tactics.

Arrogance is our downfall.

Not replacing Caisaido and Mac as we got away with not replacing Bissouma was baffling.

Not going into the market in January when it was clear we needed reinforcements is costing us.

Forcing a good keeper out for someone who'd struggle to get into a Championship team was a mistake, but having a Dutch international warm the bench is a bigger mistake. The keeper situation is on RDZ and I don't care how good he is with his feet, he's utter gash with his hands.

However he found himself on the bench is kind of irrelevant, it was very specifically reported that Sanchez told RDZ that if he isn’t starting then he didn’t want to be part of the squad. Not exactly the actions of a team player who wants to be with us. And you’re saying blame isn’t with Sanchez?
