My high PSA reading was detected while I was being tested for an unrelated problem. I don't have any symptoms and was surprised when I was told about the high reading.
The annoying thing is that I asked about having a PSA test last year and was told that it's not necessary unless you have symptoms!
So the moral is - insist on having a test even if you don't have symptoms.

My MRI was painless and not at all claustrophobic as my head was sticking out the end.... 😂.... Compared to the DRE and the biopsy it was a positive joy 😂. Good luck with the MRI and hope all goes well for you 🤞

Just an update on scan, had it on Thurs and and had call from hospital awhile ago.She explained that the scan didn't show any reason why my PSA results where so high which is good news. They are booking me in for a biopsy on 13th to find out what's going on . Apparently it could just be an inflamed prostrate but at least I now feel a little easier knowing mri didn't show anything.

Wow, that was a swift response from the hospital. Fingers crossed that the biopsy comes back clear.
If I don't get my result by Wednesday I will be chasing it up.
