Okay, cheers. Italo are a little cheaper so I was leaning towards them anyway. I'm hopeful the trainline app is up to date so being able to book means they'll run.

This would be your best option and most likely to be running on the strike day however do allow some time for delays

If the 09;57 to pisa doesn’t turn up Italo have plenty of Rome to Florence trains. But none to Pisa.
Would then be a case of hoping any of the Florence to Pisa trains run…..I’m guessing the chances are slim.

Will this be running before i pay ?
I wouldn't buy any train tickets in advance now, and those prices look very high to me.
Your journey is made up of two bits...
1. Malpensa to Milan Centrale
2. Milane Central to Rome Termini
Tackling tham one at a time...
1. Malpensa to Milan Centrale
This is covered by the Malpensa Express and costs 13 Euros. However it only runs every 30 minutes and given how tight time may be for you, I'd not want to buy in advance because if you've just missed one, you may want to grab a cab instead, Both journeys will take about an hour. The cab will be a lot more expensive however.

2. Milane Central to Rome Termini
There are a lot of trains that cover this, and two different companies and you don't want to be tied to a specific one by a non-transferable ticket. You want to be able to get on the first train that you can - again, give your time constraints. This gives you an idea. Ticket prices won't go up much now so you'll not be losing much by holding off, and it gives you the opportunity to get the first fast train available.

I think you would need to check against guaranteed train list. My understanding is trains won’t run from Milan central To Malpensa so only book train to Milan Central. How much are you paying for the Rome to Milan leg? You might be better to fly from Rome to Milan Linate which you can get for £75. You will then have to get from Linate to Malpensa so allow plenty of time.
Checking the FreeNow taxi app, its saying about 20 minutes from Termini to Stadio Olimpico, but I assume that will take longer earlier in the evening on a match day.

Is there any way of knowing how much the strike will affect Friday flights at this point? Or will we not know until the day?
I’ve been told that Frecciarossa are also a private operator, so these trains should also run, albeit with potential delays due to running on the public tracks.
I’m hoping so anyway, as I’m booked on one of these back up to Milan on Friday. Fortunately I’m not booked on one til after midday as my flight isn’t till nearly 11pm. I’ll check on Fri morning if they’re running and if not, seek to make other arrangements (ie hire a car, as I should still have sufficient time)

That would make sense because Frecciarossa and Italio are the only ones listed on the trainline app. It's generally quite up to date and the fact it lists only those two and not the public operators makes me think they'll run.

Well, my cab went on strike this morning in the UK, despite a confirmation email from Radio Cabs. No wonder people have moved to Uber.
“Luckily” my flight is delayed too so Southern taking the strain should still mean a Spoons brekkie.

Italo services are 100% running on Friday. I just asked at Naples train station.
I had the same with 204060, booked with them a week before for a 3am cab, they cancelled 9pm the night before
Gezza, we landed today around 12.10. The queue for passport was huge as mostly Brits and didn’t look like the auto gates were working but we were through in 20 minutes and we were towards the back. It’s a bit of a walk to the station and we just missed the 12.37. You’ll be taken to the terminal from the plane by bus. Try and get yourself on the first one to leave if you can,
