This is where I am. I actually hope it happens and goes on a PPV channel for all of the 'big 6' and their many followers can enjoy the action, and the rest of us mere mortals can enjoy what would be a hugely competitive PL.

How much of the TV deal is passed on down to lower leagues?
Like it or not, the English league System needs United/Liverpool/Arsenal in it as they have massive fan bases across the world that pay for the TV rights etc.
Banning them from domestic football is a ridiculous idea.

I agree. But I worry that the joy would be short-lived. To stop a handful of "massive" clubs dominating, the Rump Premier League would only remain competitive long-term if the revenues were well shared between at least the remaining top 50 clubs, and you can't see the likes of PBOBE liking that, if Albion ever got bounced into this.

Whether it's 5 years time or 30 years time the European Super League is coming. It's just a question of when whether we like it or not.

At the end of the day a European super league is inevitable.
The Italian and Spanish giants need it to generate more money as they have exhausted the domestic markets.
When the super league does come to fruition then I think the positions in the league must not be guaranteed, there must be access for teams to develop and compete, we must ensure it is not a closed shop like the MLS or NFL.
As for teams that compete in this super league, they must relinquish their league positions in the domestic field with the possibility they can compete in domestic cups.
I guess the money generated could possible afford teams in the new league to run two teams or have much larger squads to compete in both fields.
It will happen, it now about how we make it work, not only for those that leave, but those left behind.

A22 are the people pushing for a Super League. Imagine the surprise when their research "proves" that the majority want a Super League!! Who'd have thunk it!!

72% of ALL fans?? What was the scope of the survey? If I stand at the end of my road and survey the cars that go past for 10 seconds and the 3 that go past in that 10 seconds all happen to be red, then my survey results would conclude that all cars driving on that road are red. Which of course would be nonsense but factually correct in my survey.
But the English and Germans are against it - the EPL is by some distance the richest and most viewed league in the world. When EPL clubs are for it, then the Super League is inevitable but such was the backlash, I can't see that happening for a while
Pretty much spot on, I think. As @Kinky Gerbil says though, it could destroy the domestic league if it isn't done right. TV companies won't pay the money for the non-Big 6 clubs. Maybe them running two teams is the answer.

I don't think it's inevitable at all. This has been said for about 3 decades now, and the minute it gets mooted, the weight of public opinions crushes it. And that's not just here, but most of Europe. Look at what happened when it was pushed a year or two ago.
My solution to this would be to expand the champions league into a league format and allow those clubs to opt out of the league cup. It's shit anyway.
I agree the big 6 moving to a super league would wreck things domestically, but I don't think running two teams would be any sort of answer.

There's a club World Cup coming soon I believe, that will be so much better than a super league

If promotion from domestic leagues to the super league is possible and the big 6 play two teams it could end up with man city playing themselves in the super league.

I'm in favour of an A22 super league. I guess it would include teams like Eastbourne United, Hailsham Town, Uckfield, East Grinstead and Whyteleafe. Absolutely huge marketing potential.
They wouldn't join then - none of them want to be a small fish in a big pond. So ultimately, you're arguing for the collapse of the European Super League (like the first time round) rather than for it.
