What are your colours of choice in an ideal world?

Metallic Blue or Red for me. Like Black but it’s a fecking nightmre to keep clean so won’t be having another in that colour!

Orange seems to be the hipster choice in sporty and performance cars these days and grey for the older drivers as far as I can see

Personally HATE Orange and am not a fan of grey

Don’t red cars always end up orange, unless you pay for Ferrari, or have manufacturers sorted that issue of ‘sun bleaching’?

The day they try and force me to buy a car that can’t have lane control turned off (and it’s coming on all new cars in 2025 apparently) is the day I won’t buy a modern car. Good luck trying to ban car repairs too.

We’ll see. I suspect that we’ll just complain about it, then learn to drive in a straight line.

And generally black, a deep metallic blue, or grey/silver is fine by me.

Is it just me or were there hardly any black cars when I was growing up in the 70s/80s?

Was TOLD what to NOT offer on as part-exes when working for dad (in late 1980's) in the used car business

Green
Orange
White

As a non colour issue anything Italian was also verboten.

Currently run a crashingly boring black Merc A class with Mrs Jakarta owning a graphite SLK...

Somewhere between royal and navy blue (metallic) with a pale leather interior. Perfect.

Agree re: interiors. Absolutely loathe the “black seats in a black interior” thing that seems to be current fashion. Depressing how many people want the inside of their car to look like a teenage goth’s bedroom.
