One thing I have always noticed is how bang average he is for equador. Players always look better for us than other teams it seems. Although bissouma seems to be doing ok now.

Two massive lessons here for owners and players alike. It's not all about the money, Caicedo's tantrum after the Wolves Sub shows how unhappy he is despite the ultra fat bank account which admittedly takes an edge off, but he must have a passion for the game to have made it so far and current form can only hurt.
For some reason I get a perverse joy in Caicedo's current demise and alternatively get a happy feeling when Ali Mac does well.

Mac is doing just fine but Moises, well, it's been a nightmare season for the lad.
It's not as if his role in the Chelsea team is that dissimilar to his role at the Albion, and he was excellent here for 2 different managers who played slightly different systems.
White, Biss, Burn, Trossard, Alexis have all shown there is life after the Albion but thère is something toxic at Chelsea. So much talent consistently underperforming.

Oh his role is different there, he's left quite isolated so he's expected to be more of a disruptor, breaking up opposition play, winning the ball and then giving it to someone to play a more direct ball forward. At Brighton he was part of a whole team playing close knit possession football moving the ball quickly through neat triangles with just one or two touches. The few occasions yesterday where he did that he looked like I remember him, but most of the time he was ignored in possession and forced to make a succession of low percentage tackles out of possession.
Reading most of the posts on the chelsea forum they are pointing the finger mainly at Poch than at Caicedo

And you're clearly not alone. I do find it a bit strange considering both players were great for us, both clearly wanted to leave this summer, yet one is treated well and the other appalling. Why? Just get these nebulous answers like 'mac allister left in the right way, which is such a load of wishful thinking bollox'
I don't feel animosity to either of them personally.

Are you being serious? Most, if not all, of the players that left to Chelsea acted like massive bell-ends (I believe that is three English term for it). That is why.

They really didn't. It's very much in people's minds that they did but aside from the musings of Fab Romano and the like what other noise was there about the Caicedo transfer? All we know is that he'd made agreement with Chelsea and waited for Brighton to accept an offer from Chelsea, which is basically exactly what happened with Mac Allister and Liverpool. Everything else was noise and gossip. And when each of them left they both said very nice things about us.

Surely it’s clear that Caicedo threw his toys out of the pram, had his head turned, forced a move when we didn’t want to sell him, didn’t think he was ready.
MacAllister seemed to go very much with our blessing - it was time for him to move on, and we were happy with where he was going, which is validated because he is doing well.
maybe if Caicedo had gone to Liverpool…….

Brighton agreed to a blind bid from Liverpool and Chelsea but Liverpool’s bid was higher. Caicedo’s agent insisted that Chelsea could bid again (possibly because he was getting a bigger percentage?)
It wasn’t the decent way of going about a transfer.
