Well next season they will change the rules to stop teams having repeat ties against their group members.

Freiburg v West Ham
Qarabag v Leverkusen
Sporting v Atalanta

All repeats.

99% of the content was about Qarabag, Lisbon sides and Marseille but hardly saw anyone talking about Roma on here.

Winnable for sure but tough. Biggest allocation possible?
Cheap flights with plenty of options.

Good draw

What a tie! As much as I would love to, I won't be going to the away leg, but I LOVE Rome – have a fantastic time everyone who makes it there.

I wanted an Italian team – so excited!

Excellent for you. I saw Fulham there on the way to the final in 2010. Did the sights in the morning (Coliseum, Parthenon, St Peters) before finding a bar full of Cottagers and then the scary convoy of buses to the ground. Trastevere is a great area with restaurants and craft beer bars. Enjoy!
Quite a big detour if you made it to the Parthenon

Roma is a cracking draw, another proper European game feel to it. Should be two cracking games.

Frieberg vs West Ham, Sporting v Atalanta and Qarabag v Leverkusen are repeats of group games, dull for their fans.

The way I see this one.

Glamour = 7.5/10
Difficulty = 7/10
Ticketing / getting there potential = 8/10

Different format next season so no groups as such. Clubs will play 1 off games against 8 different sides (CL) and 6 different sides (Europa/conference league). One giant League table so less chance of play off round and round of 16 being repeats I’d have thought.

Edit I’m sure the bloke said 6 games for Europa League but Wiki shows next seasons schedule having 8 match weeks for Europa League group stage. 6 games for conference League according to wiki.

I wonder how much that bowl with Brighton & Hove Albion on it would sell on ebay?

Anybody else think next year's format sounds absolutely sh*t? League format, like they're pushing more and more for a European super league type format (albeit not with a closed shop, but still a league aiming to rival domestic leagues
17 matches without qualifying and play-off round

Agreed.

36 teams in a league?? It's like setting up a league in Sensible Soccer (one for a certain generation) not the format of a proper European competition.

I'm prepared to give it a chance (should we be involved). I like that it gives you more of a reason to care about all results not just those in your group.

Roma 6th in Serie A. Lukaku top scorer.

I watched their extra time against Feyernord last night. They looked decent ish but not massive cutting edge. Keeper looed very good in the penalties. But we can do this.

We missed the chance to see Belotti at the Amex as they loaned him out :)
