[Technology] Ipad newbie - Minecraft and Roblux storage issues and video chat

Total Apple virgin here as always been in the Android Camp. However, 9 year old daughter is insisting she wants an Ipad.

She's big on playing Minecraft and Roblox and wants to also make video calls to her mates. On that basis is a 64gb 10th generation OK or is there any danger that storage might be an issue in which case an sd expandable android tablet a better bet?

My other query is if she went for an android tablet how easy is it for her to make or receive calls to friends who have Ipads and more than likely use Apple Face Time?

Sadly you probably won't win the Android tablet fight. I didn't. Just bite the bullet and spend more for less...

As for Face Time, yeah, that's kinda the big one. As I understand it, you can now join a Face Time call from Android, but you can't initiate one. An Apple use can send you a link and you can join it. That's probably not going to work for a social 9 year-old.

My daughter is exactly the same.

Roblox is server based and is cross format. She sits regularly up the pub with her friends, her on an android phone and friends on iPads playing together.

Don't know about Minecraft though.

Or video chatting when playing.

Unless WhatsApp is available on iPhones? Don't know about that either.

She has also got into Fortnite and Roblox on our PS4 and unsure if whether you can go cross format to say Xbox for example ...

That's where my knowledge fails.

We are an android household too. After both the wife and I had really badly experiences with an iPhone 5 and also iTunes we swore off them forever.
