Back under the radar. Win 5-0 and we're still second of two games on MotD2.
What were you expecting? Our game was a walk in the park - the other was a competitive contest that could/should've ended differently

:ROFLMAO: They previewed the Luton game with a pre-made little film interviewing Ray Harford about the last time that Luton hosted Man Utd. That game was getting top billing however the two games turned out.

By the way, I'm not being precious. I know that the way of things means that we'll always be the undercard. It just makes me smile when the bias is so blatant. I repeat my question. Had Man Utd had a 5-0 walk in the park, would it have taken second billing to a closely fought 1-2 contest between Sheffield United and Brighton?

It could have been 0-0 between Luton and United and we all know they'd still have shown that game first.

David Squires (the cartoonist) is an absolute genius. To churn out the quality he does, every week, is genuinely remarkable.

Sadly he's out of action at the moment (I think the Wilder sandwich one may have been his most recent) after needing surgery on his arm, for lacerations inflicted (successfully) saving his small dog from an attack by an out of control staffie.
FFS

Could he not have done that with his other arm?

A few around us in the ground yesterday did. He's always the easy scapegoat.
Good grief.
I watched on telly and thought he had a sound half game. Not sure why he was taken off unless it was to give Igor some minutes.
At least I haven’t read any derogatory remarks on NSC post game….unless I’ve missed something.

Are you surprised? We've still got them and last season away at Fulham we had 5 of them in front of us. All about 16, one of them looked coked up and spent most of game threatening a bunch family Fulham fans to our left.
I suppose not. I don’t think he was drugged or drunk. Just “mouthy” and dare I add a bit thick. Was obsessed with a Utd fan who looked about 12, kept yelling “fat c***” at him throughout game. I think our rock ape was about 22-23.

The away end turnstiles queue management system we saw yesterday was implemented by SUFC after their head steward visited the Amex earlier in the season and noticed how we manage it. Well you wanted obscure positives!!

Got the record for the most goalie changes in the PL

Good game for Verbruggen to play to get used to the PL. Made a few mistakes but didn't cost us and a clean sheet which will help his confidence.

Lost 1 in 13 against the bottom half teams.
With 13 games yet to play.
There's all sorts of records to be beaten this season.

  • Delicious and eye wateringly spicy chicken tikka wrap from the Kurdistan Kebab place near Bramall Lane.
  • Moder had an excellent 45 minutes and showed us a glimpse of what we hoped he could be.
  • Jason Steele on camera calling Holgate a "f***ing knobhead" and a "f***ing knob" as he walked off the pitch after his red
  • Mitoma & Adingra both looking right back on it after a few flat performances pre AFCON/ Asia Cup
  • Even Mr Excuses Chris Wilder couldn't bullshit his way out of that performance & result.
