I agree with that, but I suspect (maybe wrongly) that The Beatles would completely walk "The Great British Band 2024" competition if it was run...

Given your avatar, you might not agree with the other bit -- ie, US soloists/singer-songwriters are better than UK ones. You're probably right on The Beatles, although for me there's a band that clearly eclipses them now and I love The Beatles

Nah broadly I think I'd agree with that, with one glaring exception...
