Yes. It would be one of the WEIRDEST made up excuses if not, on a par with "the dog ate my homework".
Those are the best ones though. The most believable.

Maybe he needed this dental surgery and when he got his yellow card against Palace and knew he couldn't be on the touchline tomorrow he thought now is the time to do it.

Having had various dental procedures I know full well it can feel extremely invasive at times - but also could partly explain his recent tired appearance and tired answers to things. Could have been in pain, and having a lack of sleep too.

Question: does this mean his touchline ban carries over to the next game, as he will be absent due to medical treatment? I know that players on red cards don't need to attend a ground for a match they can't play in, but obvs managers/head coaches/gaffers might be slightly different in this instance...

"Yes hello? Mr. Webb? It's me Roberto. Just letting you know that I won't be attending the Spurs game today as I'm actually a little poorly. Can you make sure you reschedule my ban for next week instead? I don't want to miss out just because I'm ill."

Is there any tooth in the rumour that the RDZ statue has been downgraded to a plaque? Or will the apparent stand-off be brushed under the carpet?

By the way, he's confirmed he's going to be at the match. Just not on the bench/doing interviews.

So is any journo at the Presser going to be brave enough to ask outright about Pedro? (credit- Commander, NSC)
