On an individual basis their fans are fine, we have more in common with them than the plastics from Guildford who support Manchester United & Liverpool.

REMF has been great too.
Always felt the need to make the point. I mean, if you support Crystal Palace you would hardly be a plastic. Proper football fans.

As piers go, it's better than the west. Or Hastings. Or worthing.

Let’s big up this Palace steward. Clearly paid by Beaky and his mob to keep an eye on the teen black-coats and the beaten up OAP-hoolies but more than happy to help hold up a banner against his employers when the time came.

They have an interesting name for a football club. I’ve always thought of the club and their fans (the ones I’ve met anyway) as being 'authentic'. I’ve always liked Eberechi Eze since his QPR days. I think he’s a fairly unique player. I’ve mentioned more than once — and no doubt will do so again next season when the hysteria starts again — that I’ve no problem with Palace. No affection, no dislike. Just neutral.

Remove the entitled hoody brigade, the Glad All Over shit, megaphone, flags and banners, that stupid drum, delusions of grandeur and the away day experience, and then look carefully and there is still the remnants of a football club in there somewhere.
But it's sinking fast.

I'm not suggesting that the only good Palace fan... but I loved Sean Hughes. Still remember and giggle at his routine about watching The Sweeney with his brother. Now I think about it, I've also seen Kevin Day, Jo Brand and Suzy/Eddie Izzard live and thoroughly enjoyed each of them. I've also read a couple of Mark Steele's books and liked his radio shows, although surprisingly have never seen him live.

The new stand. Thank god they built it, as without it Selhurst would be truly embarrassing.

If it wasn’t for them, our nearest rivals of a similar size would be even further away.

My two colleagues who are palace are great people. I love working with them. The fact that they are ladies tempers my attitude towards them as well. I enjoy listening to Kevin Day on that Price of Football thing as well. 😜

I must say that i liked their kit in the late 70s, with that sash (is it called that in English?). A bit South American, like the Peruvian national team with Cubillas in the World Cup -78.
That was a much loved kit (although most wouldn’t admit it) I suppose that blue and red mess ties in with their ideas of grandeur

I'll go with the "I've got mates who are Palace" angle.

I'll also say they've had past players who are hard to dislike for a variety of reasons: Ian Wright, Geoff Thomas, Clinton Morrison and Glen Murray.

Next week…. “Say something nice about Pompey”

Nah, even I’m struggling with that one 🤣

They make me happy when they leave.
