What happened to the media bull about noisiest fans? When losing, they’re stony silent …. for 40 minutes.

When Olise went off on 55 there was a steady stream of departees, non stop.
I saw the trickle start from my vantage point by the west upper concourse window 5 minutes before half time ???

Heartwarming.

One assumes the lack of pyro and bank of spotty kids in black was due to proper stewarding. Possible? Who knew?

This is quite amusing or actually quite sad, this from their self proclaimed “top boy” surprised no one was about at 08:45am

Even when I was “active” 8.45 is no time to have a row. It’s mostly all show now (apart from the palace bloke who got sparked), hopefully the lad who did the honours gets away with it but a lot of cameras these days. I’d buy him a pint though.

There was a big exodus when goal 3 went. Groups of 3 swivelling, enough’s enough angry gestures, hastily away.

I'll just leave the Adam Wharton quote here.
“The way they’ve brought players from the Championship and developed them into world-class players in the Premier League is something that stood out to me, and it’s a big reason why I wanted to come here.”

Haha, which players would he be referring to?

Think of the years we were struggling, and how they rubbed our faces in it.
The tables have now turned.
I will not be ditching my hatred of Palace any time soon.
Did they?

How?

Coach loads of mooning chavs parading up and down the sea front?

A bit of teasing by seagulleater?

Someone's workmate made a comment?

Hmmmm.....

The fabled face rubbery is alive and well inside people's heads.

I'm sure I remember a few years back someone told the spotty ultras we'd have a "meet up" with them at some pub we knew was shut.

And they actually went.

And got upset when we didn't...

Enjoy it while we can. We’ve been much worse than them over the years.
Before today. But yes, overall I guess they have generally occupied higher places than us.

And to be honest - that play-off still hurts. Whatever's happened since.

102 league matches. We’ve won 39. Palace have won 35.

Edit: Soccerbase figures. Not sure where that table above comes from but the Palace number is definitely wrong. Play-off matches aren’t usually counted in league statistics.

The rivalry isn't over just because we've finished above them for a couple of seasons. There was a buzz about the place today well before kick-off. I' for one will miss them when they are relegated.

Pathetic wankers throwing punches at strangers. Whether Palace or Albion doesn’t matter. Ban the lot of 'em.
Hang on. Under Queensbury rules, it was a fair fight. The Nigel attacks, but then gets KO-ed for his troubles. FT: The Nigel 0 - 1 YouTube

I daresay if he's on the lookout for a c**t he should try the mirror. Or the faces of his mates.

Those are wrong - we’re ahead overall on head to heads…

Not sure the rivalry is over for some of our players. They know.
And we absolutely needed that rivalry today to pull us out of any post-Luton misery in the dressing room. Palarce were the perfect patsies for us to redeem ourselves from a difficult mid-week experience at Kenilworth Road.

Thank you Palarce for helping us out today by being completely shite - we will never forget your generosity 🙂
