The word on my street is that he is quite taken by Beaky and wants to join a club on its way to the next level AND competing for the EPL title within the next 2-7 years.

Yes, but what’s wrong with asking for more ? Early December to now is less than 2 months which is nothing in contract negotiations for well paid jobs. I know you love a good stir but you are reaching a little here.
