It’s probably been said but I hate tournaments where you can still qualify for the next round when finishing 3rd. It really takes the jeopardy out of the first round. Unfortunately this seems to happen more and more as the federations want to expand the international tournaments.

That was genuinely one of the most exciting halves of football I’ve seen as a neutral in a while!

Cameroon win so we edge closer to a potential Adingra return.

Anyone seen the videos of male security guards fondling womens' breasts while doing checks at the grounds?
Surely some repurcussions to follow there?

Step 2 of hopefully getting Adingra back.

Get cheering on Tunisia and Namibia.

I see Mali - Namibia is still 0-0 which suits both sides. Hopefully they’ll just play out the last 10 minutes.

All on to Zambia now. A draw/win and Adingra can get on the plane back here.

Brace yourself for some dodgy refereeing decisions to keep the tournament hosts in the competition…

Morocco look the far better side. Zambia will do very well to keep a clean sheet.

It’s kind of annoying how much the media have been saying Ivory Coast were crashing out. The results we’d need for them to go out aren’t that likely!

Bloody Ghana’s massive choke a couple of days ago has done for us. We need him back. We have three games in a week!

I think Ivory Coast will be playing Senegal in the next round so there’s a good chance they’ll get knocked out at the weekend.

Not looking good unless there’s a last min goal…

That would be ok as would only miss the cup game and prob Luton…

So Ivory Coast’s reward for winning a single game out of 3 as the host nation, whilst suffering a humiliating 4-0 defeat, is progression to the next round with an extra days rest compared to their next opponent. I’m really not sure this letting the best third place teams qualify is a great rule.

Anyway, at best we’ll see Adingra for Palace. Ivory Coast will play Senegal on Monday, if they lose that he’ll surely be back with us within a few days.
