I might be misremembering or confusing with someone else - I thought he said that was the most depressing time of his career. Playing turgid football for a crap team without the language skills or friendships established, and away from the parent club he actually signed for.

Hopefully Mazilu can find the required support network and managerial expertise at Vitesse for him to push on. At least with Propper and Kozlowski there's a bit of an Albion group there.

I know that Beerschot were not the ideal choice for the club when loaning out Caicedo and it was facilitated through TransferRoom due to a lack of interest in loaning him (according to Weir at a Q&A a year ago).

Vitesse shouldn't be bottom and haven't dropped out of the Eredivisie since the 80s. A very different challenge.

I believe some of them are Vitesse fans also. Great guys who should be able to give us the lowdown on how our players perform for the rest of the season.
