My book "The Emotional Overdraft: 10 simple changes for balancing business success and wellbeing" is published on Kindle tomorrow and in paperback on Tuesday.

I need people buying the Kindle edition tomorrow (Monday 22nd) between 11AM and 12PM to help it become a bestseller. All day tomorrow it will only cost 99p.

Why the timing is so important? After 3 years writing the book, I'm obviously very proud and excited to finally have this launched into the world but I am competing with the big business book publishers. Amazon calculates its Bestsellers each hour. So if I can get enough people to buy the book between 11AM and 12PM tomorrow, we stand a chance of concentrating the support to take on the bigger names in publishing who are backed by big publishers and large promotional budgets.

Buying the paperback on Tuesday (or hardback - when?) doesn't work for you, I guess? Chucking 99p away tomorrow works for me if getting a print version later doesn't work for you.

Buying the paperback on Tuesday would be fantastic, but that's a far bigger ask. The hardback is being published simultaneously because the publishers have had very good feedback from the advance copy readers.

James Kerr, who wrote Legacy (the smash hit about lessons we can learn from the All Blacks) gave me a great endorsement. Early readers have been very complimentary and there are quite a few overseas publishers interested in publishing translations in other markets.

But it's my baby - so of course I think it's good!

I hope people are able to help tomorrow. I shall be buying the book and watching the Amazon charts with interest - it feels like a good old-fashioned NSC poll-influencing exercise!

I actually declined @Couldn't Be Hyypia's kind offer of a donation to NSC simply because he has already directly donated to NSC as a "supporter" and I was delighted to be able to repay that by enabling this rallying cry.

We left it that we would talk at some point after tomorrow to see if NSC's help had helped him succeed.

So, if CBH does get the result he is looking for, I'll politely request that he make a donation to Cancer Research UK on behalf of us all. There have been a few threads recently where cancer has impacted the lives of those on here, and people we hold dear, and all money sent in that direction is a good thing.

I’ll buy it. A little late for me as I sold my shares in a company I co owned nearly 10 years ago, but I know a few people who are involved in management buy outs and will recommend it to them as well. My greatest source of irritation was not getting paid on time nor for the full amount claimed and a lot of stress came out of that. Unfortunately that’s the nature of the Construction Industry.

Does buying the paperback on Tues also work for your bestseller ambitions? I’m guessing not as you said Amazon calculate it over a one hour period and you indicated a 1 hour slot in which to buy the Kindle version in order to max out your chances of getting in the list…

If you need the Kindle version to be bought (in that 1hr slot) in order to maximise your chances of getting in the best sellers list, I’ll buy a Kindle version tomorrow, and a paperback or hardback on Tuesday.
