Shit. I stopped in my tracks when I read this on my phone and still feel teary now. She was a true legend. I will always remember the intro to her Sunday show the day after we beat Charlton 7-0.

RIP....and thank you for so much.

RIP Annie ..fond memories …those days of listening on a transitor radio ..sigh
I was already in a reflective mood after reading/watching last night about the passing of Freddie Mercury

Damn, that's very sad news. Like many on here, I grew up with her around and our paths crossed on many occasions. I also recall Alex coming into the (then) Northern pub - now Hobgoblin - with a snake around his neck. :)
RIP Annie.

Great woman, trailblazer, Brightonian.

RIP Annie.
Not a native. She moved here in 1963 to work on local newspapers.

Took Brighton to her heart, and always loved the Albion as a result.

Very sad news, true broadcasting legend. Listed to her desert island discs a while back and was very interesting and reflective, some great music selections - obviously. Seem to recall her mentioning a song that she wanted at her funeral, I didn't know the classical piece but was very moving. She will be sadly missed.
