Who is the best passer of the ball currently on the books? No poll, just the player you think and the reason.

I had a think about Pascal Gross, Billy Gilmour and Jason Steele But I settled on Lewis Dunk. OK, there's been a ricket or two, but some of those big diagonals are astonishing.

Agree, disagree?

Between GIlmour and Dunk for me. Gilmour for quick snappy moves to beat a press - Dunk for the longer through balls.

Best close control - Lallana. Glorious how he can look after the ball in tight situations. Mitoma the best for bringing down a ball hit from distance.

We really are spoilt now, the quality of football we get to watch our team play.

Gross probably takes it for me based on his unerring accuracy off both feet, long and short, and of course his delivery. Dunk is probably more known for his raking passes to the right flank along with some spectacular defence-splitting through balls (over the top or on the floor) - he is however very one footed in comparison, not that it matters much when his right foot is that good.

Yes, Dunk. And Hinshelwood is watching on.

Equally importantly I can't think of anyone who is crap at passing in the same way that (astonishingly) Mo Salah and Marcus Rashford are crap at passing.

You'd find it difficult to find a member of our squad who is not a superb passer of the ball.

Dunk is brilliant, but it's Gross, surely.
Precisely!

Well yes Wee Billy almost never gives the ball away, and yes Dunk can play some astonishingly good long passes, but Groß surely walks away with this one (at a leisurely pace before sending us all the wrong way with a Groß turn and delivering a killer pass)

We were unusually down the front for Forest.

JPVH, Groß and I think Pedro got themselves into a situation on the edge of our box.
The 3 of them were hammering the ball to each other trying to find the out.

It was a breathtaking sequence esp knowing had any other Albion player, from the previous 45 years of my supporterdom been involved, the ball would have gone flying off in a completely random direction.

The speed which the ball moves, and is then brought under control by the receiver is sometimes breathtaking. It's not just a gentle pass to a team-mate - sometimes, as you say, they hammer the ball to them!
