KFC fries are dreadful. McDonald’s do the best fries, but I do prefer chip shop chips generally anyway.

KFC everything is dreadful to be honest. Colonel Sanders would be furious at what they’ve done to his creation, he was notorious for maintaining high quality and keeping a small menu.

Last one I had was inedible. f***ing rank

Without question the worst of the fast food chip options. Disgusting.
Totally agree, the quality of the chicken is terrifying too, much prefer ‘ Chicken Cottage’..

Edit , does anyone remember a former resident of this Parish who worked at KFC in Portsladistan, I can’t remember his name but iirc he diarised his first week for us and it was pure Gold!

Weirdly, KFC chips are fine by my reckoning, there’s a definite link between what I’m eating and potatoes.

KFC chicken can do one however, it really is the lowest quality chicken I’ve seen on sale in the UK, with some pieces defying categorisation, not being recognizable as any known part of a chicken.

Kev the Ape! And his KFC unrequited romance with co-worker Becky being the subplot to the main narrative arc - mostly centred around his training, his uniform and the ridiculous shifts he got lumbered with.

Dripping in unintended pathos and pure gold from beginning to end. Didn’t he name his threads ‘The Wedding Zinger.’?

Yes that’s the chap, he was a real character, I hope he’s ok, do we know if he posts under a different handle these days?

The Wedding Zinger was just wonderful, the Harry Potter of it's time. Think it came in four or five instalments, with a bonus instalment at the end. If memory serves, somebody even produced a graphic novel version of it on here. Such a shame it got wiped along with the rest of the old board. Kev The Ape was an unwitting genius! :lolol:

*edit* fans of Kev's writing can find some of the bard's later work here

He still goes to Albion matches but lives away from the city now. I’m friend of his on Facebook so will direct him to the thread, (although alter ego Kev the Ape is long since retired from KFC so can’t be held responsible for the quality of chips!! )

Last time I had KFC was April 2004 . . . . I had a zinger, we'd had a long drive up to Cadwell Park for a race and were tired, so we took the lazy option . . Mistake, we were up half the night farting (and laughing) . . . . Dreadful food. I say food, that's stretching the term.
