Brighton Marathon training starting for me on Monday, hoping to get down to Hove Prom Parkrun next week and Lancing or Worthing the week after.
Any recommendations for half marathons in feb/march? I can’t do Brighton Half as I’m away!

Huge field at Worthing parkrun today: 629. Great atmosphere. 20:47 within AG of 83%: best of the day. A first for me at Worthing I think.

off 
47th and final parkrun of 2023 meant the annual trip to Bevendean Down. It doesn’t get any easier there! Very pleased to get a pb though and highest ever position (6th but it’s a run not a race right 
).

I started the year with 22:08/70.63% on the back of five hours sleep and a hangover so hopefully plenty of room for improvement.
Congratulations to @Garry Nelson's teacher on his continued outstanding performance and let’s see how long I can hold on to second place in the table.

Four. months since my last run - still waiting for the results of my echocardiogram and finding out what happens next.
Meanwhile, I can see my estimated VO2 max plummeting whilst my resting heart rate is going up and up!

Happy new year fellow runners. 2023 ended up being quite light on the running side for me, only managing about 1,400km (870 miles). A minor injury and having surgery on my sinuses gave me some foreced breaks. Otherwise, I just kept myself ticking over and took part in some races without any real expectations.
This year I'm straight into a marathon training cycle for Boston in April. So, it's time to take things a bit more seriously again. Thankfully winter hasn't really hit Toronto yet. It's much easier to ease into a training cycle when the weather is more favourable.

Did anyone manage to bag a pair of Nike Alphafly 3's in the Proto drop yesterday?
I didn't even try, but very keen to get my hands on the next release, hopefully in time for Brighton Marathon. There is conflicting info online, some saying Feb, some saying as late as April.
The 3rd iteration has had tons of positive reviews (i've yet to see a bad one) , I actually got on really well with the Alphafly 2's but it seems I'm in a minority. I really want to give the 3's a spin!!!!

Official 18:20 today at Hove Prom Park Run today. Good conditions, but I couldn’t get going until the last K and it was too late.
76.73% age grading so not in @Garry Nelson's teacher league, but a reasonable start to 2024.

They say never meet your heroes but a pleasure to catch up with @Garry Nelson's teacher today at Worthing for the first time in a couple of years and watch him glide around the turn and disappear into the distance!
