It is absolutely done for the kids. My 9 year old boy adores it. If this helps bring through the next generation of fans, rather than them choosing to spend their afternoon/ evenings on Fortnite as someone mentioned in another thread, then I’m sure we can all put it up with it.

I don't really like it, but it's not aimed at me, and I'm sure the kids like it so 
I really would prefer 'Praise you' at the end though, particularly for these run of the mill wins over teams like Spurs, Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, City etc. Maybe save Freed from desire for our big European nights

I may have got the last sentence wrong as my tinnitus was playing up because the speakers in the WSU were far too loud last night.

The club's never going to get the perfect matchday experience, as this thread shows. I'm not arsed about the lights, Richie Reynolds, joke birthday announcements or anything else. I'm there to watch the football and can take or leave the rest of it without it even registering.
If anything, I think it helps the younger generation and keeps people in the ground. The players never used to do a post-game lap, but now they do and - looking on from the Family Stand - the kids get a LOT out of it.
I also did think he was having a bit of a laugh, but also thought he was slightly taking the piss out of our neighbouring county.
I did laugh as I have family in the shite part of Kent (Gillingham)

My nephew enjoyed them last night - at least I think he did as he was videoing the whole thing.
Light shows, words on the big screen, commentary, songs nor anything else detracts from the match itself as far as I'm concerned. Why would they?
This idea that certain things are "tinpot" suggests a concern about what visiting fans think - personally I don't care what they think.

Light show is fine. Freed from desire every week rather than proper atmosphere after a win is shit.
And to the people slagging off Richard Reynolds on this thread, i think when he packs it in he'll be missed. Some of the announcers at other Premier League grounds are absolutely awful

The bit in Ring of Fire where it changes from major to minor key and those little answering flamenco style guitars is the worst moment of any home game.
In the UEL games we cut the music 5 mins before kick off and it was GLORIOUS. More of that.

Flares are visual, nothing else.
I never saidflame throwers were dangerous or unpleasant, just wrong. I'd refute the 'professionalism' required of a bloke in a hi vis jacket pressing a button to burn a mug of petrol via a car battery, and a screen wash pump.
Yeah, I was TOTALLY over Fanzone mostly because I'd never been featured since day 1 - probably due to me being in WSU
However, last night I happened to be in the South Stand and my handsome mug was there on the big screens in all its glory. So, on balance, happy to see it continue for another 12 years at least. UTA.

I dont like the pre and post match "entertainment" the club put on but can live with it on the odd special occasion. However chugging it out for a mid season league match is unnecessary and it looked to me like the players weren't in the mood for it after the game either. I love my 90s dance tunes but would rather no music so I could applaud the players off the pitch.
