    [Drinking] English sparkling wine

I love our local Sussex sparkling wines but my favourite is still Camel Valley, also available from Waitrose. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

[Misc] The glorious but niche NSC Shipping Forecast thread...

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the episode of Black Books where Fran ***** off to the Shipping Forecast. Sorry if I'm lowering the tone. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

[Travel] Massively unfair’ gulf in bus fares between London and rest of England

It's a problem. I'm 51 and only bought a car 5 years ago so very used to public transport. I got talking to a woman at a bus stop in rural Norfolk and because she couldn't afford a car and had to get the bus, with a baby in a push chair, she could only carry a couple of bags of shopping and...

[Music] Great band @ Dark Star Brewery

Hope & Social are a Leeds band who occasionally play down South. This should be a cracking gig, and it's in a brewery too! https://www.darkstarbrewing.co.uk/events/10-years-of-hope-social-tour-2018 Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

    Paris Advice: The "Paris Pass"

2 day pass is €48. I have used them because you get to bypass the queues which for the Louvre and Versailles can be several hours long. Depends on what you want to see. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk

John Lewis coming to the old Boots store at Clock Tower.

I suspect the expanded Churchill Square may be a better fit for them, and probably cheaper. The BHS site is too small even for a small John Lewis. The wait continues... Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk

West Pier Tea Rooms / i360

I haven't been myself but this place seems to be worth looking at http://www.brighton-harbour-hotel.co.uk/dining/the-jetty-brighton/ Completely agree that the Belle View at the i360 is pretty pants. Shame because it could have been something really special. Loved my trip on the i360 though...

    O/T Help please - Binoculars

Speculate if you like if you haven't been there at that time of year. I'll say nothing more as any actual information seems to be unwelcome. Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk

Slightly off topic but have you been to the West Coast at that time of year before? Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk

    Restaurant 2016

I'd definitely recommend The Set, the menu doesn't read like it's exciting but the food was some of the best I've had in Brighton. Fantastic. Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk

    Restaurant 2016

I thought At Isaac wasn't very good at all. A lot of fancy ideas but the food just didn't taste very nice. Fatto a Mano was great, possibly the best pizza I've had in Brighton. My top tip is The Set in Regency Square, interesting AND tasty.

    Restaurant 2014

Bit fan of The Coopers Cask, usually have lunch there before getting a 25 to the stadium on match days.
