Yes but he managed to figure out a solution which saw us go on our best ever top flight run of form. RDZ is showing no sign of that.
And Potter didn’t publicly criticise the club for not signing who he wanted and he certainly never came out and said the players weren’t motivated.
Sorry I just don’t agree with this. You have Fari, Welbeck, Pedro, Adringra, Gross plus some exiting kids and in a whole calendar month we managed one own goal.
I honestly think almost any other manager would have managed a better goal return with those players.
I was absolutely gutted when Potter left, like really down (relatively speaking it’s only football) but if RDZ left tomorrow I think my overriding emotion would be relief.
No one can convince me RDZ is a better manager than Potter anymore. We went on a terrible run and Potter experimented, changed it and we went on an amazing run that extended into the following season. RDZ has shown zero evidence he has that tactical flexibility.
I am now firmly in the RDZ...
What is ridiculous is when the keeper gets the ball from a corner or free kick he holds on so all our players can get in position but equally so do there’s. Against Man City Ederson was setting them off on quick breaks time after time but apparently that’s not our way. It’s just pigheaded...
I said on the match thread RDZ threw him under a bus starting him against Man City at left back. As game went on I was proved right.
He looked much more comfortable further forward with Igor behind.
RDZ is making too many of these mistakes at the moment.
Shambles
RDZ got it totally wrong.
- Throwing Barco in is just poor for the young lad. God knows what that’s done to his confidence. Should have started Igor
- Gross, Veltman, Lallana, Moder and Welbeck in the same line up is just a recipe for disaster. Zero energy or legs to press.
