I don’t have any information, but I think that Mark Robins should at least be under consideration, given that we’ve been linked with other championship managers.
I know there are other candidates, but realistically, as the club is unlikely to stick its neck out and be the first to risk Relationism football in the Premier League, there are 2 main (and jobless) candidates. Which would you prefer?
Potter or Cooper?
Absolutely no reason to panic, list of potential candidates is huge. Of those linked, I’d rate them in this order.
1) Rydstrom
2) Frank
3) Cooper
4) Potter
Let the promoted managers prove their worth with the clubs they got promoted, sink or swim. I’d rather have a manager who has shown some...
Europa League was well beyond the clubs expectations, even conference league was a hope, rather than expectation. That is where the club is at if it wants to remain on a sound financial footing. Us fans should be very happy with conference league every few seasons TBH, but as you say, that taste...
I’d prefer Thomas Frank, but would settle for Cooper, given how he was able to avoid relegation with virtually a whole new and completely unfamiliar squad in Forest’s promotion season. Cooper and Frank are 2 managers who might stick around for more than 2 or 3 seasons too.
I didn’t know the full extent of McKenna’s experience until I read this:-
https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/kieran-mckenna-ipswich-chelsea-man-utd-brighton-b1160048.html
16 years of coaching experience puts him beyond almost every top tier manager/head coach In terms of longevity. If...
Poch is overrated, hasn’t won anything of note. At least nobody is pretending that Potter is an elite manager.
McKenna is presumably the favoured candidate, Potter is back up. The club is willing to take risks with young managers, as well as young players, so BHA do stand a decent chance of...
BHA wouldn’t have been labelled XG FC without creating a lot of chances. What were the reasons for not taking those chances under Potter? It’s a mystery to me. Better finishing could’ve equalled De Zerbi’s stats. BHA having to score a minimum of 2 goals per game for wins was unsustainable...
If Potter didn’t have ambition, he wouldn’t have left for Chelsea, as above. I don’t think a cattle prod is needed, maybe a caffeine boost to get Potter running up and down the touch line!
He was probably surprised that BHA fans didn’t sit back and applaud him for getting the Chelsea job. It’s...
I don’t expect everyone to welcome back Potter with open arms, but he is the obvious choice, if he returns on BHA wages. De Zerbi got us a few places higher and into Europa League, but that was mostly due to Mac Allister, Mitoma and Caicedo being outstanding IMO. That and Chelsea and Tottenham...
Realistically, there are only 3 candidates now Farioli gone.
McKenna
Martin
Potter (plan B).
Every premier league club wants McKenna, even though he is unproven and a big risk. Only 2 will give him more than a few months to prove himself, BHA and Ipswich. Unless McKenna wants more time in the...
