Sorry but I thought the thread was about Barnes as a striker not an all round player.Its strikers we need not all around players.SOMEONE who can put the ball in the back of the net regularly,not occasionally,someone who fills you with confidence,and more than anything excites you as a supporter.

Leroy would have worked if played more,Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he score in one of the few appearances he made.,considering that Barnes has only scored 6 goals(2 of which were penalties) doesn't in my mind make him an out and out striker.Barnes is an excellent bits and pieces player...
