I'm failing to to see the "gotcha" that you think you've picked up on.
I'm simply correcting the assertion that the Southampton trains could have been lengthened without any cost. They couldn't.
To lengthen the SOU services you'd have higher track access charges, even if there were the extra...
It's not the platform at Falmer that's the issue, it's the platform at Lewes.
The platforms at Falmer have already been lenghtend from 6 coaches when the Amex opened to 8 coaches, the problem is you have to then get them back to Brighton. You can't do that at Lewes as you'd block the line...
I think allowing people to buy 10 tickets each has caused a few issues, nice to go in groups but 10 was just asking for trouble.
I'd like to go, the wife is from oop North, I spent a few years living up there and I've always found him very funny, Car Share was fantastic.
