We might like one but I don’t think we will.
If Welbeck is staying and Ferguson is expected to be fit and firing, we’ll have those two + Pedro.
It’ll be lower down the priority list than at least 3 other positions I’d say.
Yep. You can see from that still that Baleba has already decided to pass to Barco, which isn’t necessarily an awful move but it’s very clearly channelled - the City players know exactly what’s coming.
If he instead feigns that pass and lets the ball roll, he buys himself time and opens up other...
Or a scanning issue. The elite players in that role are constantly scanning where the space is, where opponents are and where teammates are.
Baleba’s physicality should have either enabled him to let the ball roll across him whilst guarding Foden off, or take a touch to move it away from him...
I think this is close to correct.
I don’t think we’ll sign a striker, and I’m leaning more towards the idea of Gross staying. If he moves to Germany, he’ll be taking a big pay cut as I would imagine his most recently signed deal with us would have been a lucrative one. He will want to see that...
The craziest thing about the Pedro decision is that it gave him a great opportunity to show he wasn’t completely biased. At 4-0, it was never going to affect the result and was one of those fouls that gets given 80/90% of the time. It should have been easy for him to give it, and he would have...
Leicester effectively one win away from going up after thumping Southampton tonight.
Shootout between Leeds and Ipswich. I think The Tractor Boys will do well to win their remaining three - Hull (a), Cov (a), Huddersfield (h). Shame.
All that money Mudryk. Christ almighty. Though I guess you insert any of several Chelsea players into that sentence.
Would like to see if RDZ could get a tune out of him for us next year, though!
Good to see some improvements on this front. Would still like to see more Albion presence in town - murals, billboards, bunting, whatever it might be. Make it known to visitors that the city prides itself on its football club and vice versa. I appreciate we’ll never reach Napoli levels but the...
I suspect Southampton will have run their race and be settling for the play offs by that game. They have to win their next two, which includes Leicester away, and hope that two of the following happen:
- Leeds drop points in their next game
- Ipswich drop points in at least two of their games...
It’s an interesting point. I’d like to see how many we had in the top 150 last year.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Villa/West Ham/Arsenal suffer more next year, especially if lots of their players are off to the Euros.
I think a couple of our injuries this season could have stemmed from players...
