Didn't Barber say he was exploring the 'far east' tour option?.. or was that the year after?.... might be good to tie in a visit to Japan, haven't been yet.
However,... only 14 goals across 8 seasons is a very low outcome, however you try to stretch the mitigation of his position switches during that time..... I think Dunk has more goals during the same period, from centre half.
70's ..... without doubt the most eclectic, influential and enduring decade of music and fashion..... it was also the decade that I first saw the Albion 1st game of 74/75 season, Palace at home.... it took me from boy to man.
I think that does give perspective to this debate, of course, though I do feel there is an increasing level of indifference developing from both sides... RDZ to his prospects of staying, (some) fans towards the 'long face', almost Poyet-esque 'glass ceiling' type demeanor... that's never going...
For me it's three things that have delivered what one poster above has described as a "flat-spot":
1) VAR really has killed a lot of the spontaneous joy and reasoned post match debate... instead delivering anger, frustration and confusion.
2) Travel, especially for those of us perhaps coming...
Israel always has, and always will do what is good for Israel.... it cares not for the toothless UN, it also cares not whether Iran or any of it's terrorist proxies attempt more of these attacks, Israel will deliver retribution at the time of its choosing.
Irans attack last night was an abject...
It'll provoke a reset.
RDZ will depart ( most likely)
Gross will return to Germany.
Mitoma is likely candidate to be sold.
Pedro is likely candidate to be sold.
March will likely not return to 1st team level fitness/effectiveness.
Quite some effort required to restart our European aspirations.
Come on... we created a good number of goal opportunities.... finishing is shocking... nothing wrong with the approach play at all, even without Mitoma.
Of course we looked like winning, Wellbeck had two great chances late on, one great challenge, one just past the post.... not a great set of goal attempts, but there was only one team in it.
Contribution to the acquisition of Chris Iwelemu was enough to justify the funds existence surely,.... his flounce of a dive for the match winning penalty in Cardiff 2004 was key to the maintenance of our mostly upward journey.
I think he'll go, but the fee is unlikely to be that high in my view, his appearance and injury record is patchy, 8m sounds about right..... NB I think Undav will resist a return too, though he could get us somewhere in the region of 15m.
