    I reckon West Ham must come close to the biggest away following in 1978. They had the north east corner, half of the East terrace,and large pockets of them all round the ground.Over 32 thousand packed into the Goldstone that eventful afternoon.

    Barry Rees scoring Albion`s second and his only goal for us in a 4-4 draw with Chester. Later that season he was tragically killed in a motor accident while driving back home to North Wales after a Friday night game.

    I remember the Preston game Freddie. Do you recall the penalty fiasco ? I think it was Kit Napier about to take it when Allen Duffy rushed up and took it and put it wide. I think the game against Preston in which Bobby Charlton played in was a couple of years later,when we got stuffed 4-0.
