Meant to run the Horsham parkrun but it was cancelled (underfoot conditions). So another Worthing attempt: one second slower than last week but perhaps in slightly tougher conditions.

Going to have a go at the 30-20-10 method: 30 seconds jog, 20 faster, 10 sprint. You do 5 of these in a block, then 2 mins rest and start again, aiming at 3 or 4 blocks.

Last parkun of 2023 and my first as a 69 year old. Windy Worthing: 20.48. Good in those conditions (for an old git).

Huge field at Worthing parkrun today: 629. Great atmosphere. 20:47 within AG of 83%: best of the day. A first for me at Worthing I think.

Training session this morning. This is my Intervals for Wimps one. 10 x 250 metres plus 1 x 500 metres. All at around 3.40 pace and with a rest of either 30 or 60 seconds depending how knackered I feel. (I do an almost exactly similar session on the Concept 2 but a bit slower.) Q

Hi all. Not been around these parts for some months, partly because of probs with my eyes and tbh partly because I got out of the habit. Good to see familiar names still posting and even better ......to see that I'm still top of the parkrun AG table. I've had lots of niggling injuries (who...

Back running after a few weeks laid low with groin strain and other stuff. 20.51 at a very busy Worthing parkrun. Doing the Hailsham 5k tomorrow; probably not up to the 10k.

Been on the sick bench again. Pulled my groin 200 yards from the finish of the Splashpoint 5k a couple of weeks back. And then a torn retina for good measure.

PS Gaffer: having looked through the results I can see that you achieved your objective of beating the runners selected for the Arena 80 A line up. They won't make that mistake again......

Thanks mate. A bit slower than I would have liked. Well done for getting so close to a genuine legend!
