Me and half a one will be setting off from just outside Bolton at 1.30.

Currently it is sunny with a hint of cloud - very chilly and windy but much better than yesterday - still need the thermals

Its fine - i will just turn them inside out. Weather update is south of preston there was about 1cm of snow which has now gone unbless youre up the hills. Other than that the wind is very strong and it is fricking freezing and grim - so no change there. Slight touch of snow forecast overnight...

I am in Preston - its not snowing and nor has it been - its pretty bloody grim though in terms of cold and the odd shower. Thermals on for Saturday.

I took my six year old daughter to Sheffield and after three away games last year (Preston, Blackburn, and Bolton) she didn't hesitate when I suggested an 80 mile drive to watch the Albion. She loved the match and at one stage said 'dad I can't believe I am here - it's like a dream' and to top...

Why is there more accountability if it was run by the local authority. I personally would prefer my kids school to be run by people who work in education and have the best interests of the children at heart as opposed to some local council civil servant who just sees a school as a budget line.

Just found out that he has bought a house about 50 yards up the road from me. Apparently an extremely nice man with a young family. Look forward to him bringing his young lad to the local footy team over the road from us where he will see the stripes being worn by my five year old daughter. One...

Not a hint of snow anywhere in the preston region tonight (apart from up on the hills of course)

I drove past the ground at lunchtime and the roads are pretty clear - south of Preston its still snowing a lot but roads are now reasonably clear (took me 3 hours to drive 2 miles in Bolton this morning). I will be driving the reverse route in a few hours so if anything changes i will let you...

Will do - all being well i should be driving back in the other direction in about three hours - loads of colleagues all live in Preston as well so will pass on any info received.

We had some fairly heavy snow in Bolton this morning which caused travel chaos as per usual but i have just driven up past Preston and the roads are all now pretty good so should all be fine for tomorrow

Continuing the footballing education of my five year old daughter following her attendance at Bolton and Blackburn we shall both be at Preston. She looked at me in disbelief when i asked her ifg she wanted to go - 'Of course i am coming daddy - will Bobby and Bruno both be playing?'
