I saw a risk assessment at work which suggests rubbing a freshly cut raw potato over (safety) glasses to prevent fogging; needless to say the company aren't providing the potatoes.
From Sussex Police:
Don’t be alarmed by the multi-agency exercise at The Amex in Brighton on Thursday.
We test our skills on a regular basis with the aim of keeping the public safe.
People may notice a spate of activity as emergency crews respond to the mocked-up match day scenario in a part...
Fortunately for us in the last couple of games our 25th squad member has been the little known welsh striker "Own Goal"; the most important signing of the January window.
One of 617 Squadron's F35Bs went unserviceable while QNLZ was in the States and was unable to make the flight back with the rest of the squadron. It was brought back across the Atlantic aboard QNLZ and is apparently to be launched from the ship while she's alongside the dockyard in the near...
Breakfast was so much better when you could get a box of cereal with a toy in. (RIP all those who choked on bright purple Boglins and plastic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles which looked just enough like a cornflake that you couldn't possibly notice it on your spoon)
In an alternative reality (my player career as Dunky on Fifa 19) Albion already signed Pepe last summer and loaned Ali J straight out without having played a single match...
In another alternative reality (same career on Fifa 18) Palace signed Locadia in January '18.
With 10 years service from signing professional terms, Dunky should be due a testimonial in 2020, or 2021 if it's taken from 1st team debut.
Will he still be with us? (and how many new contracts will he have before then?)
Who should we try to get as opposition? (He's scored a fair few goals...
Much as I'd love us to go for it and play all out attacking football in a "one off match" what then happens in the subsequent league games where Dunky/Duffy/Maty are suspended due to the red cards they picked up from wild last ditch one-on-one tackles in a desperate attempt to stem break up...
Pondering some random trivia: Who is the earliest player to be professionally on Albion's books (so ruling out Gareth Barry) who is still playing professional football?
I'm guessing at Adam El-Abd (first professional contract in 2003 according to wikipedia).
Joel Lynch and CKR not far behind...
Don't really get how they do all this flashy light business anyway; when the lights died at the Amex a few seasons back the story was they couldn't be switched back on until they'd cooled down. Unless the new Ultra HD compatible bulbs are less temperamental.
