Potter is going to spring 2 or 3 surprises, imo. Wouldn't be surprised to see one or two home debuts, and even a re-giggle in midfield.
Of course, I could be totally wrong - I have been with team selection almost every game!!
Whilst on holiday in Kenya, I found out that there is still no word in Swahili for Hovercraft!! I was attempting to learn the phrase 'My hovercraft is full of eels' - my favourite phrase to learn in any language - only to be let down.
We live & learn :)
Good post. I'm over here in USA, and use a VPN - a free one. No problem picking up BBC. I do subscribe to NBC Sports and their Gold site, as it's then possible to watch all the Premier League games live, and really excellent highlights, but I'll certainly not subscribe, just to watch pre-season...
Horrible to have to say yes, but I believe it will be easier for a new head to sweep clean - someone that has no loyalties to any of the players, and who'll be able to make sensible decisions on who stays and who goes.
I absolutely loved our 1st season in the Prem - it was like a magic carpet...
This happens all the time over here in the USA, whenever we attend sporting or music events - they'll let you take one bottle of water in - they never tell you if there is a size limit, so I usually fill a 2 liter soda bottle :). Then they take away the top, so the trick is to have a spare...
Just finished Keith Richard's 'Life', which was good, and currently reading Anna Politkovskaya's 'Putin's Russia'. She was the journo who was shot dead in the lift, in her apartment block, supposedly by Putin's hit men. Little bit heavier than Keef's book!!
Reminds me of a Mitch Hedberg joke (God bless 'im):
'I wanna hang a map of the world in my house. Then I'm gonna put pins into all the locations that I've traveled to. But first, I'm gonna have to travel to the top two corners of the map so it won't fall down'.
I hope Palace win before we play them! I can only imagine the horror if their 1st point(s) are against us. Knowing our luck they'll have Loftus-Cheek, Scott Dann, Benteke, Wickham, Tomkins, Fosu-Mensah and Zaha all back from injury by then, and playing out of their skins.
Wow! That's as close as I can remember as far as my agreeing with anyone's numbers! - I thought Duffy and Dunk were both 7's - Dunk scared me on a couple of occasions, but otherwise solid. Felt sorry for Izzy - but even when he got the ball, he didn't instill any confidence. Surprised Bong got...
Funniest example of a player keeping the ball I've ever seen was during a NUFC v Luton game in 1987. Earlier in the season, Luton had spanked Newcastle 4-0, and apparently during the game, were a little unprofessional towards their Geordie opponents. When the reverse fixture took place, NUFC...
