[Albion] We are no longer a top 10 club

Unfortunately midfielders of Alexis Mac Allister's and Caciedo's quality do not grow on trees. We were incredibly lucky to have them at all, let alone passing through the club at the same time. I fully expect to see a proper attempt made to replace them as closely as possible this summer. FWIW...

    [Politics] Donald Trump 2024

If there's a minimum age to be President, surely there should be a maximum age too? You can't be hovering around (or indeed) over 80 years old and effectively run a nation the size of the USA. It's bonkers.

    [NSC] Plans for the summer?

My only comment is that Belfast gets a bad rep (obviously), but it is a lovely place to visit. Titanic museum especially is fascinating.

    [TV] RIP Vera

If they didn't go with a headline of 'End of a Vera' then I don't know what the world is coming to.

[News] Boy wins competition with seagull impression

It'll be more entertaining than Fanzone, that's for sure.

    [News] Gideon Falter

I go 3 times a week. Personally I've never felt unsafe there, but I was referencing another poster on this thread who said they DID feel unsafe.

    [News] Gideon Falter

I wasn't referring to him. I was referencing another poster on this thread who said they didn't feel safe as a Jew walking in London.

    [News] Gideon Falter

The fact that someone of any religion (or none) doesn't feel safe walking the streets of London is very worrying and very sad in equal measure, IMO.

[Drinking] The Pub Debate - local take aways

I don't shop anywhere that is cash only. No excuse not to take card these days.

    [Albion] Women’s Football

I'm with you here, pretty much. My first live women's match was last season's FA Cup final between Man United and Chelsea and I came away very disappointed in terms of both atmosphere and standard of play. Atmosphere-wise, I know they're clearly appealing to a different base to the men's game...

[Albion] De zerbi to Man U ?

Zidane is apparently now Bayern's number one target. A much better idea than going for RDZ.

    [Politics] Sunak's benefits shake up

And that's a very noble take, which I'm sure pretty much everyone would agree with. The issue though, which you've helpfully alluded to with your own personal example, is that separating genuine from the lazy isn't something that is easily done. Especially when the suggestions are to take the...

    [Politics] Sunak's benefits shake up

That's my exact point. These 'crackdowns' will still allow people through the gaps who have become adept at playing the system, whilst genuine claimants without so much knowledge of the system might struggle to get the help and support they're entitled to.

    [Politics] Sunak's benefits shake up

If he's able to game the system currently, what makes you so sure that he won't be able to continue doing so under any proposed changes?

[Cricket] Sussex CCC - 2024 edition

Fair challenge. Although there can't be many players knocking around with a test average that high (even from a small number of matches) and still playing today, let alone in English county cricket. The only person I can think of is English, but I may be on the wrong lines!
