Hi Bozza, I see arrangements for Man City ticket exchange announced today.
Taking into account the price rise this season and the impact of less games the new deal is worse than last year and still only store gift vouchers.
I am surprised that the club doesn't offer a mechanism to allow transfer say a £5 to let a friend or family use your seat. I attend nearly all games and if I can't and the club offer buy back for a £20 store voucher I let my seat go empty
It depends on what your investment is for. Gold is volatile and is highly priced currently (jumped £170 / ounce since Brexit and Trump) and doesn't return dividend or interest, therefore it locks your money away.

Away fans walk all around the ground and even join us in the north stand concourse after the games. If it is a game with renowned fans (Leeds etc) the police segregate and manage physically. Worked so far
It's a shame to see the empty seats during the games however the club needs to maintain a certain level or current ST holders would leave and buy only the games they want at lower costs thereby reducing revenues further
