I’ve got the 255 and really like it. I think it was the first/cheapest one to have multi band GPS which really improves the accuracy.

I’ve managed to do it twice, once at each of my closest events. Got lucky with combining decent performances (for me) on the rare occasions when the quick folks gave it a miss. I don’t think I’ve ever come second (stop sniggering at the back), but had a couple of 3rds.
