[Albion] Happy Hereford away day Anniversary

FROM HEREFORD TO HERE With sheer determination A vision fine and clear We made the noise which brought the boys From Hereford to here. Mid 90s. The fightback began. We met each Monday night Calling for help to save our club. He answered. Thanks, Dick Knight. So many colours joined with...

    [Football] Not good enough

When the singer and guitarist of a band are ill they cancel the gig. They don't have to employ other singers and guitarists to come in and try to do their best to play the songs at the same standard. If they did, and you went to see them on that basis, I'm sure you'd probably say they weren't...

[Albion] Bobby Smith and that 1964-65 season

I was 6. Went to my first game with my dad that year. Absolutely loved the noise and surroundings, but when my dad said ‘That’s Bobby Smith’ ‘he might has well have said ‘that’s The Man In The Moon’. It took me a season to really understand what was going on, why the ticket he tore off the...

[Albion] Important information for fans travelling to Roma

Funny - I'd asked about this on the club ticket line at about 5pm and was told 'it's UEFA rule they can't be sent out till Wednesday' then it arrives an hour later. I have tried to scan the QR code and it takes me to a uk vehicle taxing site. I am completely hopeless with tech - anyone tell me...

[Football] If RDZ leaves us/is sacked at the end of the season....

There was always a tendency for this forum to self-satirise, but this takes the biscuit. We are going to Rome this week. Ludicrous fickledom is beyond tolerable. Honestly. And when RDZ does go, his replacement will be in all likelihood someone we've never heard of! :)

[Albion] Italian train strike [National Strike Fri. 8th March]

Problem is I booked the Eurostar unaware of the strike, so that option gets me back too late. A right piss off all round....

[Albion] Italian train strike [National Strike Fri. 8th March]

I have just gone through the match between the irresistible force (my Albion dedication) and the immovable object (my - entirely personal - decision to stop flying after 40 years of touring) and it's a draw after extra time and penalities. So I don't know what the fck to do! It's not just...

[Football] The Non-League Football Thread- 2023/24 Edition

Hallam FC, one of the world's oldest clubs, v Lincoln United last Saturday. 2-2, Lincoln won on penalties, nine scored, tenth saved by very well upholstered Lincoln keeper whose consumption of all the pies had been alleged all afternoon by the assembled throng. Fittingly it hit him in the beer...
