Only going by that youtube video, he looks very fast and very tricky but his final ball/finishing wasn't great. The stats posted earlier suggest otherwise though. Looked like he can play on either wing which would be useful with Trossard able to do likewise. Cant see us spending big money on Gonzales and a striker though. If this doesn't mean Ali J is off maybe Potter thinks he can do the job up top.

On the other thread about him (mods pls merge) it suggests you’re right about finishing:

He has the highest amount of shots per 90 at 3.24 per 90 but his conversion rate of 13.33% is below average

Does this mean that Tony knows that his financial backing during this window, whilst very expensive right now, would allow us to move ahead of some of our more hamstrung competitors?

I’ve just got a feeling that we’re going to sell at the end of the window and make some of the Nunez and Gonzalez money back. Two European giants, flush with the cash from Edouard and Van De Beek, are going to be knocking at our door. I expect good money for Duffy, Jahanbakhsh and maybe one other.

Well I wondered if Nunez was a smokescreen. And maybe he was.

It looks like Gonzalez is a done deal. Think that’s pretty clear (quarantine situation rules out any coincidences here).

Interesting player, a lot of flair, could be an exciting addition. But wouldn’t have assumed a left forward would be a priority so I suspect we do have a striker in the works.

Well we’ve already sold Knocky, Mooy and Duffy. That’s a fair amount of fees and wages free’d up. So we’re already in the positive.

As you say AJ is being shipped around, and I wonder if one of Propper or Dale will go.

We haven't sold Duffy and reports today that a 1 year loan to Celtic is about to happen.

Hope this happens as well as Nunez.

We had too many similarly slow players in the final third last year. Mooy, Ali J, Gross, Trossard, Alex Mac. All skillful tricky players but all lacking speed.

Mooy had gone and it's looking like Ali J will follow.

He looks ‘ok’. Very underwhelming tbh
Yep does seem like a lot of money for a player who looks fairly similar to trossard and march. He's only scored goals in the German second division as well. Would be happy if this was a 7/8 mill punt but surely we won't pay anywhere near 20 if it happens

Injured apparently.

Thigh tear.

/Thread.

Let’s hope it’s a minor injury as it would be nice to see him in the squad for Chelsea if we sign him.

I notice that he is an Argentinos Juniors boy like Maradonna & Mac Allister, hopefully he has a big future ahead of him.
