Can't believe the rubbish that is spouted every year about the kit. You will never produce a kit that pleases everyone and at the end of the day if you don't like it don't buy it. It can't get more simpler than that.

Read some of the comments and it's like it's the end of the world.

Keeping tradition (the stripes) is always best with kits but as a one off i think this is decent. People generally see the 1983/84 pinstripe kits we had as pretty iconic so no problem with this being a reference to those. It won't please everyone but its certainly not a bad kit. Wont be the first time a team has stepped away from their traditional look in reference to an older style.

With all the logos you get on modern kits maybe it looks a bit too busy, from a design point of view it would probably benefit from having the NHS logo somewhere else instead of middle of the chest.

I did notice in the YouTube comment section for our highlights that the kids absolutely love it.

If it's a winner with kids, then it's a great kit that will sell well.

This seems to be the correct answer.

It's just the execution of what should be a fairly simple brief is so naff and cheap-looking. Fair play to Nike though, I really didn't think they could screw up something so straightforward but they have risen to the challenge quite magnificently. It looks like something old men would wear to play indoor carpet bowls.

Might just wait until the club shop opens their changing rooms and allows people to try things on before committing.

In the current climate of Health and Safety I imagine that will be some time in 2022...

The majority have spoken and they like it

No accounting for taste :lolol:

We need a poll to find out if it’s the relative (last 15 years) newbies or the uber old fans who are liking it the most! Traditionalists like me most definitely don’t like us looking like Millwall or Leicester

Not exactly. We were relegated wearing the plain blue adidas kit with the big floppy collar (a bad omen). We were already down when the shirt with the red and white pinstripes made its debut in the final. But it was another step on a slippery slope.

At the end of the day it’s a blue top with a floppy collar ....

Actually, I have been having a think and have decided to change my plea. It isn't striped kits I don't like. It is striped kits with white as one of the stripes I don't like. It washes out the other colour. I prefer blue to red but think they have the same issue. However, I was a big fan of the Inter style away kit along with the red and black and green and black kits. Even the yellow and blue was quite good.

How true traditionalists prefer us to look like Sheff Wed, Huddersfield and Colchester

Objectively speaking, it is one of the best designed kits that we've had in a long time.

Mainly, because it actually has been designed, rather than copy and pasted from a template directory.

I must be honest I have no objection to ditching the stripes completely, which is the direction I suspect that we are heading.

Or copied from an old Sheffield Wednesday shirt.
