"These Trump threads are so boring though, it's the same people back slapping each other, posting hilariously bias information from a social media site known for censoring opinions they disagree with. Lots and lots of propaganda all over the place."

700 pages later and I am still spot on!

I'm not entirely sure you are.

Granted Trump says/does something that 'lights up the switchboard' and of course this thread goes into WTF mode, why wouldn't it when the rest of the planet is doing the same.

But I do think, recently at least, we've been getting a little better at going beneath the storm DT needs to create.

(You probably remember my opinions on the stupidity of Bidengate)

His press conference just finished live on CNN now. Short and sweet, he can’t bear the grillings where the world mocked him.

A reporter just asked a valid question about high US obesity, potentially giving rise to their high covid mortality. His reply, “We have some wonderful farmers”. Then he started on about their cows.

Separately he was asked about trade and travel, and deliberately steered to the subject to the “wonderful wall” being built on the Mexico border. Really bringing the number of illegal immigrants down.

He may be taking it, legitimately, for an existing condition. It's possible. But a) it's quite a coincidence don't you think and b) that does not IN ANY WAY excuse him from promoting it to others that could be harmed by it.

Also, do you really think that in the US, if you want to get your hands on a prescription drug, and have $$$ in yor pocket, you can't get hold of it? If there genunely was no danger of people being able to take it without proper medical advice, then Fox News would hardly feel forced into running what is effectively an anti-Trump ad.

He just seems determined to take this up to a level where they have to actually get rid of him. Maybe to avoid the humiliation of a defeat in the election and so he can then spend his life acting as martyr and hero to the 'legions of the stupid' in the alt-right alternative universe.

No chance. From the clip I saw, he claimed he was taking it specifically of the (imaginary) protection that it offers (ones that he's told himself exist). Also, remember he's the healthiest past, present or future president there's ever been; he's healthier than the healthiest person in the world and he has the best diet, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Ironically, I think he's full of shite.

The man gets more and more tedious every day – more amazing than his actual revelation is that a) people believe him and b) his supporters will probably try and get hold of some of the stuff!

There's no way on earth Trump is actually being permitted by his medical staff to take hydroxychloroquine for the virus. And if he is then frankly I think that's a sign there are a few at the top of the White House staff who aren't actually too concerned if he pegs out in the not too distant future.

So he's either a liar or the people around him despise him so much they're trying to bump him off. I'm not sure which is the more believable option.

I'd say there's an equal chance that he made it up on the spot vs his doctor giving him an aspirin and telling him it's the hydroxychloroquine he asked for because they took a meeting and decided he's too dumb and they had to pretend for him

Easily resolved. Just read what Trump tweets. No bias there. If an adult human reads those and it doesn't fill them with revulsion then there is something very wrong with them.

My view of Trump is only based on his own words. That's enough really.

His gob is the gift that keeps giving.

With no editing by media outlets, those weeks of live White House press conferences entertained the world, as Trump looked every inch a liar and fool, out of his depth.

Shirley right wing pollsters told him that early on, but I guess that his childish ego wouldn’t concede defeat.

I am with you Viper in that there are some boring threads on NSC. The difference is I don't go on them.....because they are boring.

The Word Association Game thread is terribly tedious, so I give it a swerve. I have never posted on it. Maybe I should keep posting on it to say how much I find it boring?

Particularly in the last couple of months, this thread has mostly revolved around what Trump SAYS on a daily basis. Are you suggesting direct quotes are biased? I see this has already been pointed out to you. Spot on you say?

It is important not to feed into President Plump's malignant narcissism, and boost his Twitter following numbers - so best not follow him, and only read his tweets when they are retweeted by another.

Not at all, as a lot of you seem to be following my every move if you look back in your Viper diary you'll see that I am mostly joining in with pointing out how utterly ridiculous he and the American system is with dealing with this virus. You all should remember anyway, you all gave me thumbs up on the posts critical of him :lolol:

However I will point out utter nonsense when I see it, like somehow blaming Trump for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery, or the time when this board jumped on board ruining a teenage boys life for smiling at some guy in a weird congregation of idiots that turned out to be misleading, that you all fell for. Oh, and the McCann stuff? That was asking about parents of murdered or disappeared children acting strangely, and if you don't think the McCanns acted strangely you're absolutely welcome to that opinion, and I am allowed mine much to your chagrin. I gave no opinion on the Sandy Hook shooting, because any sane person would say that was a ****ing tragedy and another damning indictment of the American obsession with guns.

I think that having been a POW in the Vietnam war should not have been mocked by flat foot and his death acknowledged with a Tribute from the bitter President.

Perhaps that, is what you should have said to the **** giving credence to Sandy Hook conspiracy bullshit.

I would have if I was talking about the shooting but I wasn't. As I said, someone asked about parents who acted weird after a child death or disappearance, and I named the McCanns. Simple stuff this, I wasn't asked for an opinion on Sandy Hook and never gave it. I answered a different question.

I think that having been a POW in the Vietnam war should not have been mocked by flat foot and his death acknowledged with a Tribute from the bitter President.

I agree? Not sure on where this has came from.

I cannot believe that not one Republican (besides Mitt Romney) thinks that Trump is just a little unhinged after today's performance. What a bunch of enablers

Mitch McConnell's response is to tell Obama to keep his mouth shut. Mitch, your legacy will forever be remembered in infamy.

But hey, what do I know I'm just an East Coast Liberal

I suspect that what they think and what they say may well, in quite a few cases, be very different.

I'll hazard a guess all the skeletons they each have in their closets makes them all too scared to put their heads above the parapet.
